The fact I twisted my ankle is because of the birthday party yesterday. It was a trampoline party and Alfie was the birthday boy! At the beginning, we went on the trampolines and the first go I had was when I twisted my ankle. We had about five or six goes and then we had dinner. For dinner, we had chicken nuggets and chips and for desert we had ice cream, chocolate muffins, chocolate cake and brownies. Then we played some races where you had to carry a bean bag on your head and if it drops you stop we also did some relay races and after that we went home with a party bag. The thing I liked the best was that I hadn't been on a trampoline in ages.

On Tuesday, the whole of year three did a violin concert and played Crocodile, Circle Madness and the Hokey Cokey! Mrs Harrison (not Ben or Jade's Mum) taught us the violin and played a song in the concert called Mediation and it was extremely terrific! That concert would of been the most special concert ever because it was the last time we would have performed as a year group. The solar eclipse was quite disappointing because, yesterday it was cloudy and we didn't see a thing in the sky exept cloud. We only got to see it twice before the clouds covered the sun (and the moon.) But my class got to watch a live video of the solar eclipse happening somewhere else. After the whole school went out to see the solar eclipse, we went back in and drew pictures of the solar eclipse happening in the video. Every 6 minutes I drew a picture of the eclipse until totality. I got to keep the glasses that we used for the eclipse. The next solar eclipse will be 2026.
I went to the Easter Fair, and because I was early, I helped out and made some decorations for the cake stall with some other people. I played a game where we had to knock all ten cans to win a prize and I was the only one that knocked some down. We also did some colouring on plastic Easter eggs. I did some sewing and made an Easter egg and some friends joined in. I also had a go at the choclate tombola but didn't win anything. At the end of the fair, two senior students gave me six Horrible History books and one Horrible Science book. I got them and gave the Horrible Science one to a friend because I already had that one. Most people in my school have watched Big Hero 6 but I just went to see it today! Would you normally suspect in a movie the bad guy would die? Well not in this movie because this robot called Baymax was programmed to do karate and to help sick or hurt people. All this movie was based in the future, in San Francisco. Something I noticed was my mum and me were the only people there! It was like having a privet tv as big as a white board screen. It was basically about technology and microbots and how to defeat the bad guy without killing him
At school, you would normally not wear funny things on your faces, but today you were because it was RED NOSE DAY! There were: games that you play with your red nose and earn sweets, wearing red noses and other silly things and we also had an assembly on Red Nose Day. You could get: Nosebot, Snottyprofeser, Vampire, Superhero, Stripy, Snortel, Astrosnort, Snorbit and Karate Konk. I had Nosebot and Zoe has Superhero.
I went to Isaac's party and we played a game in Megazone also known as Laser Quest. There were two other teams, one team was blue and the other pink. The team that I was on were red. Blue team came first and red came last but it was really fun! On the lead board, out of the red team (twelve people) I came fourth and Isaac was first. We mainly stuck together but sometimes I split up and just tried to find people to shoot.
BBC Radio Two did a five hundred word competition and if you don't know about it well I'll explain it to you. All you had to do was write a story that has a maximum of five hundred words. I have no idea about the results yet but I entered and wrote a story called Frostbite Freeze. The hardest part was making up an ending that was interesting and a surprise. It was also hard to make it 500 words. My mum had to help me take out over 200 words because my first draft was over 700 words!
My most favourite paragraph from my story is this one: "The wind began to howl, the clouds started to turn grey, a huge shadow covered the mountain as if it were a massive grey blanket. Jack felt a shiver go down his spine. He tried to move but he just couldn’t. Stalactites on the roof of the cave seem to shatter as if they were going to fall down. Eventually they did fall and one of the stalactites smashed Jack into a hundred pieces of ice." Rain is never a good time to go for a long walk especially when you have to look for clues that could be anywhere! But, when it was my dad's birthday (D.O.B 22 February 1977), we went for a long walk with grandad and Moya looking for clues in the rain. We did a treasure hunt and I thought it was a really good one because the people that made it used things that were already in St Anne's and didn't add anything. When we did half way, we stopped at a pub to have a birthday lunch for Dad to have his Guinness! Whilst we were waiting for our food all of us guessed which weapon and suspect who did the crime… but Moya got the weapon and suspect corect!
When it was Chinese New Year in half term and Zoe was desperate to have springrolls she kept asking and asking until the day finally came. We all helped make the springrolls (me, Zoe and my mum mainly) and they tasted fabulous and even better with the sweet chilly sauce and noodles! Zoe was wearing her Chinese New Year outfit while eating springrolls. I was born the year of the dog, Zoe is an ox, Sam is a dragon, mum is a tiger and dad is a snake.
