Year Three had the best school trip at Winmarleigh Hall and that was because of all the activities with all our friends! One of my most favourite activities was the Giant Swing. It was basically a giant swing where you hang from a bar from a harness then goes really high… once you go as high as you wanted you would pull a string behind and that one second is when the calm breeze turns into a strong wind. I enjoyed it so much that I though I would have gone higher!
Another activity I enjoyed was Jacob’s Ladder. I really want to know why the ladder is named after Jacob? I went first and got up to the fifth log. You could think it was easy but the steps got wider! Jessica went last and was the only one to climb up to the sixth and top log. She sped up the ladder like a squirrel climbing a tree.
One more climbing activity, this time it’s rock climbing. There were nine numbers starting at one and ending at nine. As you got closer to the number nine (which was at the top) the gaps got bigger. There were only three people (including me) to get to number nine.
Now about the rooms. We all shared a room with our friends. I shared a room with Hugo, Jack, Oliver, Samuel and Josh. We all slept on bunk beds but three people got to sleep at the top. The best part about us sleeping together was the midnight feast (which wasn’t at midnight, but it was late).
Last but not my least favourite was Problem Solving. You could guess what you have to do by its name. One of the things we had to do was create a path to our instructors without stepping on the ‘bomb’ which makes it hard if you don’t know where it is!
I can’t wait till next year because in Year Four we go on a two night trip! I wonder how the Year Two's will like Winmarleigh next year?
