During the Christmas holidays, we went to visit the welshies for three days. On the second day we went down coal mine. We had to wait about an hour before we went down. The instructor told us to follow a yellow line to somewhere else. Then some other instructors came and helped us with the gear. We wore a helmet, light and carried a gas mask for just in case. When we finally went down the mine it was total darkness, if our lights were turned off. There were doors to make it easier to breathe, two wires that made ringing sounds to communicate. But because of those wires, there was a fire in the mine. I can't remember when but it was caused by friction. By the time we got up it was sadly raining so we went to the museum about the mine. We all had an interesting day.
Everybody deserves something for Christmas especially the ones that get less presents than others. The St Anne’s food bank (part of the Methodist church on church road) decided to ask people to bring in some teddies or biscuits something like that and they would give it to people who can’t afford presents. In return of giving them something they gave us a small Lego police boat to make! We found out about this at AKS’s carol service.
On Saturday, I played my very first hockey match! We were against Preston Hockey Club and we won. I was really nervous because A, it was raining, B, it was my first hockey match and C, I'm not sure if I've got another reason. There was one extra in the B team so we kept switching places. I started of as a reserve (the first one waiting to be switched) and changed to mid then reserve then forward. The others in team B were: Tommy, Kirtika, Alfie, Priyanka, Victoria, Grace, Hugo and me. Dad told me that he thought my reverse pass (weak side pass) was really good. We won 3-1 and I nearly scored at the end but I missed. Then we went inside to have hot chocolate and biscuits. I was surprised we won since it was my first hockey match.
I wrote this poem about bonfire night and I hope you like it! It's called Firework Fright
A fire roaring like an angry dragon
Fireworks crackling in the sky
A sweet smell drifts away
As ashes start to fly!
Add the fire
Fizz, Boom, Bang!
As it soars higher!
Meanwhile, down below
A flame flickering, quite small
Not a good sight
In the night!
Now it's all over,
It's a dark night
Walk around silently
Might give a F I H

Whilst we were in Wales, we stayed near Snowdon (the tallest mountain in Wales!) and we all loved it!
Here are the highlights:
5. There was a really fun playground that we scooted to every so often.
4. We could watch TV while eating breakfast, lunch, dinner etc.
3. There was a little place to put all our games so we didn't lose them.
2. There was a little club house(more like a pub) that we could walk to. (for dad)
1. I got to sleep en-front of the TV on the sofa!
I also made a house of cards there with two layers and three layers.
Would you dare read through the sacred scripts of this book, would you dare awake the forces of evil... would you discover a world of magic, or o world of hideous spirits. Which will be revealed to your eyes... Light streamed through the eyes of her as she woke up. Her name was Anabeth. She had rich, ginger hair with natural waves. He skin was pale peach and she wore a blood red tunic with navy blue shorts. There was a brutal scar on her left cheek, and a deep cut on her right arm. She wore an eyepatch on over her left eye. Why you ask? Well, from the day she was born, an evil spirit cursed her. Anabeth had to wear it to keep out the curse. Now, there's something extraordinary about her, she's also the daughter of Zeus!
Bright sun beams are shining through the lime green leaves on the trees. Insects fluttered wildly through the green blades of grass. Dazzling plants sprang up every now and then all in different colors. But, down below the earth is a world of darkness and death, The Underworld! It was spooky with eerie sounds and total blackness. You could here the River Styx rippling in the background of the ghosts mumbling something.
"Hey! Dad!" Anabeth called out, "pass the electro ball!"
"Not if I can help it!" Interupted Hermes and with that he flew up and caught the ball. And then it went on. Ares stole it of Hermes and Athena snatched it of Ares with a clever plan but then Anabeth shot a lightening bolt at all the gods and stole the ball to but dropped it. "Dad, can I go down to get the ball?" She asked,
"Why not? I'll race-ya down!" Zeus replied. And down they went, lightening speed, to get the ball. "I win! What is THAT!" Cheered Anabeth, "it's a griffin, the griffin that protects our valleys." Answered Zeus. "how come it's got red eyes?" "titan magic...
During all my violin years, (well... one year!) I've finally started playing it again! So far I'm on my first finger, (where you put a finger on a string to make a different note) but next week I'll be on my second finger on D. (a note) Here are all the first finger strings:
Last week I joined string group (we're all violinists at string group apart from a cello) and on the same day I joined orchestra. It's quite confusing in orchestra because of everyone else playing and it's hard to concentrate! String group is easier because we're all playing strings and the sounds are mainly the same. (As in musical sounds) If you haven't seen any other of my violin blogs, here are the links:VIOLIN CHRISTMAS CONCERT - Adventures with Jonah

You may have a trampoline, but you will never be able to beat the amazing stunt trampoline park!!! It had:
Sideways trampolines that you can bounce of
A foam pit and
A bloby thing that you can jump on!
My favourite part was where there were to sideways trampolines and trampoline in the middle. I jumped onto a side one and then jumped back onto the middle one and onto the other side one and kept doing this until I wanted to stop. The foam pit was annoying but fun. There were loads (and I mean loads!!!!!!!!!!!!) of foam cubes. It was really hard to get out of the foam pit!
Finally! After what seemed forever, I finally finished "The Young Elites! This story was based on the survivors of the blood fever and had special gifts they had to control. These gifts were special powers that were activated when they pulled on the strings of energy. Adelina was a young elite and had the power to create illusions. Her sister, Violeta had the power to pull away other peoples powers. Teren is an evil inquisitor. He wants to rid the city of malfetos. (DO NOT ASK ME WHAT A MALFETO IS!) And he steals Violeta and blackmails Adelina to work with him. She also has to make sure the other elites suspect what she's hiding...
During the half term holiday, I was given the task to create a fact file on the underworld. Its not bad compared to the point it's longer than an A4 sheet of paper but I don't care! I managed to fit on a few pictures of "The Eye of Horus," "Anubis" and a "Crook and Flail." Here are some basic facts:
Osiris is the king of the afterlife
All the organs in were taken out in mummification process but the heart was left in Ammit was the great monster that swallowed people with hearts that were heavier than the feather of truth Before you enter the underworld, you must ask Aken to row you across the river.
Those are only some of the facts. Here is the fact sheet.
8 years old, I like to create and make things. I make up great jokes and love to read!
I can send you updates of my adventures to your email address!
